Company Ethos is Genuine
We recently asked our front-line staff what it meant to work at New Horizons (NW). This is what Deputy Manager Matt Bullock had to say.
“I joined New Horizons NW in November 2020, in my time at the company I have been astounded by the support that the company gives to both the staff and the young people. Gestures such as the Christmas gift hampers were received by all staff and were delivered to the homes by senior management, this is not something I have encountered before.
I have recently been invited to an open day for the company and this included an invitation for me to bring along my own family. I feel valued at New Horizons (NW) and able to voice my opinions and learn from the wealth of knowledge within the company. As a manager within the company I have found the company to be forward thinking and an example of this is completing an interview on camera to have our home filmed for future referrals.
The ethos of the company is genuine and I feel that this is not just a slogan, this reflects in the way we work with each other to support some of the country’s most vulnerable children. To anyone reading this, I have worked in the care sector for around 12 years and therefore I can wholeheartedly recommend New Horizons (NW) as the first port of call should you be seeking to work in a children’s residential service.
