A lovely quiet community
The Meadows is registered to accommodate 4 young people of both sexes between the ages of 7 and 17 years old on admission. The home is in a quiet residential area, in Ashurst, Skelmersdale, with a short journey to great shopping centre, activities and country walks.
The home has a spacious living area, a lovely dining room which opens up onto the conservatory and then onto a lovely, enclosed garden with a raised decking area. The young people have great spacious bedrooms and are encouraged to put their own interior design ideas within their room as well as the home.
Home Manager
Jessica Massam
Jessica, the Manager of The Meadows, joined New Horizons (NW) in July 2021, with over 10 years of experience supporting children and young adults in various settings. Including crisis placements, semi-independent living, and residential settings, she has obtained her Level 3 certification in residential childcare and Level 5 in leadership and management.
Jessica’s daily work is characterised by its diversity, making every day unique. She finds fulfillment in witnessing the progress of the young people and helping them recognise their growth. Together with her team, Jessica strives to achieve positive outcomes for all.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her dogs on walks, socialising with family and friends, and exploring different places.
