Annual Easter Fun Day 2026: A Celebration of Togetherness and Joy

Our Annual Easter Fun Day 2026 was a fantastic opportunity for young people and staff from across our homes to come together, enjoy shared experiences, and create positive memories.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a wide range of fun activities that were enjoyed by everyone involved.

A Day of Connection and Community

This year’s Annual Easter Fun Day was a great success, bringing together young people and staff teams for a much anticipated day of celebration. Although the wind and rain made an appearance, the positive atmosphere and enthusiasm on the day ensured that spirits remained high throughout.

Events like this play an important role in strengthening relationships, encouraging social interaction, and giving young people the chance to relax and have fun in a supportive environment alongside familiar and trusted staff.

Activities for Everyone

The day offered a wide variety of activities to suit different interests and abilities. Creative sessions such as face painting and arts and crafts were busy throughout the day, allowing young people to express themselves and enjoy hands on activities at their own pace.

Bingo added a lively, competitive element, with plenty of laughter and shared moments as numbers were called and prizes were won. These activities helped create a relaxed environment where everyone felt included and involved.

Games, Teamwork, and Easter Challenges

Outdoor games were a highlight of the event, encouraging teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles. The egg and spoon race proved particularly popular, complete with cheering, laughter, and a few light hearted rule bends along the way.

Young people also took part in knock the cans, and the much loved “Search for the Bunny” challenge. During this activity, homes worked together to search the field for hidden bunnies, promoting cooperation, communication, and a sense of shared achievement.

A Golden Surprise

Adding an extra twist to this year’s event, golden eggs were hidden amongst the bunnies. Those lucky enough to find one were rewarded with extra prizes, which added excitement and anticipation throughout the challenge.

This simple addition kept young people engaged for longer and encouraged everyone to stay involved until the very end.

Food and Refreshments

A range of snacks was available throughout the day to keep energy levels up, while the wood fired pizza van was a clear favourite. Freshly cooked pizzas were enjoyed by young people and staff alike, offering a relaxed opportunity to sit together, talk, and refuel between activities.

Ending the Day on a High

The event concluded with a traditional Easter egg hunt, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Prizes were awarded to all winners, ensuring the day ended on a positive and inclusive note, with plenty of smiles and chocolate to take home.

Thank You

We would like to thank all the young people who took part and helped make the day so special. A huge thank you also goes to our staff teams for their ongoing support and encouragement, and to our Head Office team for organising such a well planned and enjoyable event.

Our Annual Easter Fun Day remains a valued part of our calendar, and we look forward to creating more positive experiences together in the future.
