Lancashire PROUD Awards Nomination
Maple House have nominated one of their young people in the Lancashire PROUD Awards for the Positive Choices and Achievements award.
This young person has blown everyone away with their ability to turn their life around in such a short space of time.
They have an incredible outlook on life, they are intuitive, resilient and care about others.
They have gone from strength to strength; from sitting their GCSE exams to getting themselves a full-time job.
They have worked incredibly hard to pave the way for their future, making positive choices to ensure they are succeeding and keeping themselves safe.
They have worked hard on their independence skills and taken positive steps to learn new things, they concentrate hard on self-care and can now recognise negative changes in their emotions.
They have the ability to voice why they may be feeling a certain way and has proved time and time again they are able to correct mistakes in a very mature manner.
They truly are defying the odds every single day and they deserve to be recognised for the outstanding achievements they have portrayed.
They were asked to attend the Lancashire PROUD Awards as a finalist, chosen along with fourteen other young people, out of over two hundred.
On the night of the Lancashire PROUD Awards, they were also asked to present an award for the best Personal Advisor. Which they did, with such confidence and conviction, alongside the Mayor of Preston, Lancashire.
