Team Leader Role for Kirstie

Kirstie Mitchell, who joined New Horizons (NW)  five years ago, after previously caring for the elderly, has joined Beach House as a Team Leader.

As a proactive residential carer Kirstie was the first choice member of staff to move each time we opened a new house, to help set it up and spread the company ethos.

When she became pregnant she moved to head office and became part of our admin team, then went on maternity leave and gave birth to her son Jenson.

Being a mum meant Kirstie took a sabbatical from working but when Jenson was two she started missing her role, making a difference to the children in our care and re-joined the company as part of the relief team.

After a time, she decided she needed to get back to full-time work and needed more of a challenge, so applied for the role of Team Leader at Beach House, and was successful.

Beach House has a staff team of over 15 committed individuals with a broad range of experience, whose aim is to provide a safe and caring environment for the five children we care for.

If you have what it takes to work with children and make a change to their lives, email admin@newhorizonsnw.co.uk or check out our careers page for current vacancies and further details.
