We recently asked our front-line staff what it meant to them to work at New Horizons (NW). Here’s what Team Leader Sean Maloney had to say.
“I began working at New Horizons (NW) seven months ago, as a Team leader. Right from the start, from the very first email, I felt supported and confident that the company was about helping individuals to develop and progress. The training was over two weeks and was delivered in a friendly yet engaging manner, even though I had worked within the industry previously, I learned and developed new skills that I could call upon on a daily basis.
The training also introduced me to the management team and colleagues, not only from my home, but from across the other homes within the company. At New Horizons (NW) the young people are given life skills and are supported by staff to develop as individuals. The young people come first, we let them flourish and progress at their own pace. We make memories. During the previous six months I have felt supported and still continue to want to progress within the company.”
