Shoreside
A lovely home in a semi-rural location
Shoreside is a four bedroom detached bungalow for the accommodation of two young people of both sex between the ages of 7 and 17 years old on admission. The accommodation is decorated to a high standard, which provides a friendly and homely atmosphere.
The home has two young people’s bedrooms, a 2 staff sleep in and a family bathroom and a shower room. We recognise the importance of the need for both companionship and privacy. We have one open plan lounge, which is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable with a dining area, together with a fully fitted kitchen, with all the modern appliances. Outside has a lovely split level garden/patio area.
The young people are encouraged to have some input into the decoration of the home and to personalise their bedrooms. We believe in involving all of the young people with any project that is to be completed within the home which gives a sense of belonging and commitment to the home.
Registered Manager

Aimee Teese
My name is Aimee and I am the Registered Manager for Shoreside, a two-bedded children’s home that provides care for children with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties, alongside learning disabilities.
I have worked for New Horizons for six years. I began my career as a Residential Support Worker before progressing to Team Leader. I then spent three years as a Deputy Manager in a larger home, where I gained valuable leadership experience and developed my knowledge of managing teams and supporting children with complex needs.
Drawing on my experience and passion for working with children, I wanted to progress to the role of Registered Manager. My goal is to make a positive difference to the lives of the children in our care while supporting and developing staff to achieve their own goals and aspirations. I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive, build confidence, and reach their full potential, while empowering my team to provide the highest standard of care.
