Annual Family Fun Day 2024
On 30th June, New Horizons hosted its highly anticipated Annual Family Fun Day 2024, bringing together staff, children, young people, and their families from our residential homes across the North West.
This year’s event was a resounding success, filled with laughter, joy, and a strong sense of community.
A Day of Fun and Celebration
Our Family Fun Day is more than just an event; it is an opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds within our New Horizons family.
For Fun Day 2024, we had an array of exciting activities and attractions, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time.
Jonathan from OMG Leisure provided an incredible selection of inflatables and funfair rides, bringing endless fun and excitement to the day.
Paul Crone kept the atmosphere lively as our charismatic compare, ensuring that the day flowed seamlessly.
A special treat came from Martin’s Mr Whippy, serving up delicious ice cream that was a hit with both children and adults.
Gaz from Plan the Occasion expertly managed the chip shack, offering delicious snacks that kept everyone energised.
The BBQ, masterfully handled by Chris, was a crowd favourite, with mouth-watering aromas filling the air.
Sweets for My Sweets delighted everyone with their slushies and candy floss, adding a touch of sweetness to the festivities.
Vital Support and Capturing Memories
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees, Medic1 provided top-notch first aid services, giving everyone peace of mind throughout the day.
Our memories were beautifully captured by 127 Media, whose coverage will allow us to relive the joy of the day through stunning images and videos.
The Importance of Our Family Fun Day
The Annual Family Fun Day is a cornerstone event for New Horizons, reflecting our commitment to fostering a supportive and loving community. It offers numerous benefits:
- For the Children and Young People: It provides a day of carefree fun, helping them to build positive memories and relationships in a relaxed environment. This event allows them to see the supportive network around them, reinforcing their sense of belonging and security.
- For the Staff: It is a valuable opportunity for team building and celebration of their hard work and dedication. Seeing the joy and happiness of the children and young people they care for reaffirms their commitment and passion for their roles.
- For the Families: It strengthens the connection between the families and the residential homes. Families can see first-hand the positive impact of the care provided, and it offers a chance to engage with staff in a social setting, fostering trust and collaboration.
