Easter Eggstravaganza 2023 a Cracking Success
On Good Friday we held our Easter Eggstravaganza 2023. It was an exciting day full of activities, games, and crafts.
The Easter Eggstravaganza 2023 started with the area manager, Reece, warming up the kids for the first game, “Find the Rabbits.” The field was full of hidden rabbits, and the children were tasked with finding them. All the rabbits had a name and number, and the kids had to find 20 of them. This game was a timed event that had the kids running around the field and enjoying the fresh air.
The next activity was a scavenger hunt. The children had to collect specific items such as four different leaves, a flat rock, and something that starts with the letter “M.” The scavenger hunt allowed the children to explore and discover the natural environment around them.
After the scavenger hunt, the kids participated in other fun activities, including “Pin the Tail on the Bunny,” “Tin Can Alley,” and the “Easter Beanbag Challenge.” These games were a great way for the children to showcase their competitive side while having fun. As well as all the games and activities we also had the talented face painter Emma from Fancy Faces.
As the children worked up an appetite, they went inside for a delicious lunch. After lunch, the children were treated to an abundance of crafts, including designing Easter bonnets, painting eggs, decorating biscuits, colouring, and creating Easter decorations. There was something for everyone, and the children’s creativity was on full display.
We had an Easter quiz and the winners of three competitions, Field View, and The Dunes, were rewarded with a day out bowling, Shoreside, adventure golf and Southolme a visit to Kaspas for delicious desserts.
The day ended with a massive Easter egg hunt on the field, with hundreds of eggs scattered for the children to find. The excitement was palpable as the children searched and collected their sweet treats.
The Easter Eggstravaganza was a cracking success, with the children enjoying a fun-filled day full of activities, games, crafts, and prizes. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the Easter holiday and bring the children, young people and staff from all of our homes together.
A wonderful day was had by all.
