A Massive Achievement

This may seem trivial to some, however, those who understand Autism will completely resonate with this story. 

A young person placed with us who is diagnosed with Autism, after several years of wearing the same trainer (brand, style, colour) has willingly bought a new pair of trainers that are a different brand and style! 

Due to his sensory processing disorder and need of consistency and familiarity, this is a huge achievement. 

The dedication and endless preparation of the staff team allowed this to be possible. 

Teaching the young person to venture outside their comfort zone and experience different sensations. 

Not all achievements are massive, but they are massive achievements to all involved.
