We recently asked our front-line staff what it meant to them to work at New Horizons (NW). Here’s what Deputy Manager Kim Jupp had to say.
“I joined New Horizons (NW) as a Deputy Manager in June 2021 and instantly felt that I had found a company that I could see myself extremely happy with, and that promoted staff development.
The induction to the company was amazing and the PACE training was informative and relevant to the young people that I work with. I have found the leadership and management training to be very helpful to my role.
I was impressed with the interview process, part of which included me being asked to go into the home where the young people had put a list of questions together, to interview me themselves. I was made to feel extremely welcome once I started in the home and the whole team, management and senior management, have been very supportive, giving me confidence in my role.
Even though I have only been here a short time I feel like I have become part of the family. The Manager at Brook House and the whole team go above and beyond for each other, and, more importantly, the young people. I feel like I have finally found my perfect job and look forward to a bright happy future with New Horizons (NW) and Brook House.”
